Le vent s’est levé sur le Kerala. Sur la côte de Malabar, les backwaters d’Alleppey déploient lagons et canaux à travers le lac de Vembanad. À bord des traditionnels kettuvallam, anciens bateaux de pêche en bois et fibre de coco, le voyage devient lent, hors du temps. Autour des rizières, papayers, manguiers et cocotiers sont enroulés de poivriers, dont les lianes serpentent autour de leurs troncs protecteurs. On perçoit leurs baies sombres, cet or noir qui s’échange depuis des siècles au port de Kochi. Spicy Road célèbre l’épice de l’ouest Indien, le poivre en tête, la vanille et l’encens en son cœur, sur un fond boisé et chaud. Ingrédients
